About Death Trader: Cold War
Death Trader: Cold War tasks you with navigating the murky world of weapons trafficking during the Cold War era. The premise is solid - managing supply chains, dodging authorities, and balancing profit against risk should make for tense, systems-driven gameplay. Instead, the execution feels rough. The UI is clunky, tutorials are sparse, and the strategy layer doesn't have enough depth to sustain the 6-10 hour runtime. Resource management exists but lacks the feedback loops that make trading sims compelling. It's not broken, just underbaked - a game that needed another year of iteration before release. Skip this unless you're specifically hunting for obscure indie strategy titles and have low tolerance for jank. Mainstream strategy fans will find better options elsewhere.
