About Dead by Daylight Sinister Grace (DLC)
Dead by Daylight: Sinister Grace is a DLC chapter for Behaviour Interactive's long-running asymmetric multiplayer horror game. If you're new to the loop: one player hunts, up to four survivors try to repair generators and escape. This chapter adds two new playable characters and, presumably, the mechanics that come with them, built around Thai folklore and body-horror imagery. The headline addition is The Krasue, a Killer drawing on the Thai mythological spirit - a floating head trailing viscera, associated with night-hunting and grotesque transformation. The design pitch of "two terrifying forms" suggests a power that lets The Krasue shift between states mid-chase, which in Dead by Daylight terms usually means a Killer with distinct offensive and defensive modes that reward players who can manage the transition timing under pressure. If that mechanic lands cleanly, it has the potential to feel genuinely different from the existing roster rather than just being a reskin with a new hat. On the Survivor side, Vee Boonyasak arrives with a punk-band backstory tied to a group called Axekick. Survivors in Dead by Daylight are mechanically interchangeable at the base level - their uniqueness comes from their three personal perks. Vee's perks are described with "electrifying" flavor, which could point toward speed, disruption, or counter-pressure abilities. Until the community stress-tests the perk kit post-launch, it's hard to say whether Vee slots into meta loadouts or stays a flavor pick. Who should care? Existing Dead by Daylight players who enjoy learning new Killers and want something with genuine cultural specificity rather than a generic Western horror IP. The Thai folklore angle is a less-explored space in mainstream horror games, and if Behaviour leans into the body-horror framing with conviction, The Krasue could join the short list of Killers that are fun to play AND unsettling to face. Players who are burned out on the base game won't find this DLC transformative - it's the same 4v1 loop you already know. The chapter releases September 23, 2025. With no review data available at the time of writing, the smart move for cautious buyers is to wait a week for the community to surface any balance complaints or bugs. Dead by Daylight DLC Killers have historically ranged from immediately broken-overpowered to quietly ignored, and launch-week patches are common. If The Krasue's dual-form power is well-tuned, this will be one of the more interesting Killers to pick up in a while. Alex, Scout Team
