DARKLAND 3

I went in expecting standard fare and got something with actual personality. Darkland 3 is an action-platformer that leans hard into sword-swinging combat and tight platforming sections. The level design has moments where everything clicks - enemy placement forces you to think about approach angles, and the platforming rarely holds your hand. Combat feels weighty without being clunky, though the camera occasionally betrays you in tight spaces. The rough edges show fast: production values scream low budget, animations have that stiff indie feel, and there's no story to speak of. Enemy variety is thin, so fights repeat themselves. It's not going to blow your mind, but if you're hungry for a platformer with teeth that respects your skill rather than your patience, there's something here worth your time.
