Damnation City of Death
A scrappy 2015 survival-action game where you're fighting monsters, hunger, and other players in a hostile world. Rough around the edges, but if you want old-school multiplayer survival without the modern polish tax, it's worth a look.
GamerScout Verdict
For old-school survival fans who want multiplayer chaos without modern conveniences, despite its rough edges.

About Damnation City of Death
I went into Damnation City of Death expecting janky indie jank, and that's mostly what I got. The core loop is straightforward: scavenge, fight monsters and hostile players, manage hunger and thirst, try not to freeze to death. It's survival-action stripped to basics, no hand-holding, no quest markers telling you where to go. The action is responsive enough to feel like combat matters, and knowing other players can show up and ruin your day adds genuine tension. The problem is the lack of polish makes it harder to stick with than it needs to be. The UI is clunky, the world doesn't explain itself much, and performance can dip. But if you're the type who misses early survival multiplayer before it got streamlined and monetized, there's something here. It's not going to blow anyone away, but it's not trying to. Worth a shot if you're bored and want something small and uncompromising.
