About CYBER [VR]
Picture Pavlov VR's lobby-based deathmatch loop shrunk down to a single small studio's budget, and you have a rough idea of what DAR Studio was reaching for here. The difference that matters is scale. This is a room-scale, tracked-controller-only multiplayer shooter that leans hard on its visual fidelity, with PvP and co-op modes, leaderboards and stat tracking bolted on. When a match actually fills, the shooting feels decent: physical aiming, real weapon handling, the kind of thing that made early VR shooters exciting before the genre consolidated around a few big names. The problem is the part no developer controls. Launched into Early Access in 2017 and sitting on a mixed reception from a tiny review count, this is an online-only game without an online. Anything that depends on other players (which is everything) becomes a stress test of your patience and your friends list. Bring your own lobby and there's a scrappy, good-looking shooter in here. Show up alone and you're touring an empty arena.
