Cyber Ops
A 2020 noir cyberpunk tactics game where you hack enemy systems instead of shooting, sparse player base, but solid if you enjoy turn-based control mechanics over flashy action.
GamerScout Verdict
Niche tactics game for patient players who want hacking systems in their firefights, not big-budget polish.

About Cyber Ops
I went in expecting XCOM meets hacking sim, and Cyber Ops delivers exactly that pitch: you command a black ops team while managing a parallel layer of device hijacking and cyborg override. The core loop is clean, scan networks, identify targets, execute hacks to disable defenses or seize control of enemy units before the shooting phase. It's turn-based, methodical, and rewards positioning over twitch reflexes. The tactical depth is real but narrow. Three-person squad, limited maps, no difficulty scaling beyond hard/normal. The noir aesthetic sticks, and there's enough variety in mission modifiers to keep 10-15 hours interesting. What kills it for most players: matchmaking AI is pedestrian, the UI has that "early-access indie" feel even years later, and the community is essentially dead. Worth $5-8 as a weekend tactics diet if you're burnt out on bigger studios, but don't expect long-term replayability or mod support.
