Cute Puppy Academy

I went in expecting a mobile-style pet simulator, and that's what Cute Puppy Academy delivers. You raise virtual puppies, feed them, play mini-games, unlock cosmetics. The core loop is familiar enough if you've touched Nintendogs or any browser flash game from the mid-2000s. Graphics are serviceable cartoon work, nothing fancy, and the whole thing runs frictionlessly on Xbox hardware without demanding anything from your controller. The catch is there's not much game here. Mini-games lack replay value, progression flattens after a few hours, and the writing never tries to be charming. It's pure filler if you need something running in the background while watching TV, or genuinely designed for younger kids who just want to pet digital dogs. Anyone expecting Tamagotchi-level challenge or actual gameplay hooks will bounce hard. Not bad for the price if that's your lane, but don't expect to care.
