Cultures 1+2
A pair of old-school city builders where you manage trade routes and construction timers instead of fighting, relaxing if you tolerate janky 90s UI.
GamerScout Verdict
For retro management fans who miss 90s city builders and don't mind clunky interfaces for their zen.

About Cultures 1+2
I went in expecting Settlers vibes and got something slower. Cultures 1 and 2 are management sims where you're basically logistics coordinator for a medieval settlement: assign workers to farms and mills, watch resources trickle in, wait for buildings to finish constructing. There's no combat, just resource planning and patience. The appeal is pure sandbox building if you're the type who finds satisfaction in watching supply chains work. The downside is obvious, the interface is dated, there's minimal story, and the pacing demands you're genuinely into the rhythm of production queues. If you remember playing this in the late 90s and miss it, GOG's version lets you scratch that itch. If you're new to this style, try Banished or Two Point Hospital first.
