About Crystal Caves
I went in expecting nostalgia bait and found something more useful: a genuinely well-crafted arcade platformer that respects your time. You're Mylo Steamwitz spelunking through caves stuffed with treasure and traps, jumping, collecting, and solving simple environmental puzzles across dozens of levels. The EGA graphics are clean and readable, the controls feel responsive, and the difficulty curve never punishes you unfairly - it just keeps escalating the obstacle variety in ways that feel earned. Crystal Caves works because it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. It's a bite-sized arcade game with solid platforming fundamentals and the kind of level design that makes you want to beat the next cave just to see what stupid trap waits for you. No bloat, no pretense. That's the whole pitch, and it delivers.
