Compare Crusader Kings III: Chapter V prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Paradox Development Studio. Published by Paradox Interactive. Released on 4/20/2026. Available on PC. Genres: RPG, Simulation, Strategy.

Two DLCs bolted onto a game you should already own 300 hours of. Faith and trade finally have teeth, but newcomers should buy the base game first.

My Norse petty king converted to Catholicism purely to unlock a trade privilege on the Rhine, then watched three vassals declare independence over it within a decade. That is Chapter V working as intended. The two expansions bundled here push Crusader Kings III past its old habit of treating religion as a stat block and trade as a number on a county tooltip. Faith reform now costs you something politically, and trade routes give landlocked realms a reason to care about geography they previously ignored. The AI still handles both better than it handles a succession crisis, which is faint praise, but it no longer ignores the new systems entirely. The problem is the packaging. This is a bundle for people already deep in the dynasty, not an entry point, and the tutorial does nothing to explain why either system matters to a 20-hour player. Buy the base game, play a Irish count for a hundred hours, then come back. Workshop support means the mod scene will have rebalanced trade within a month anyway. Diego, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth it if you already have hundreds of hours in CK3. Everyone else should start with the base game.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
