Crispy Chicken

I went in expecting either a joke game or a hidden gem, and Crispy Chicken lands somewhere in between. It's a casual action-adventure with a deliberately goofy premise that wears its indie roots proudly. The mechanics are straightforward enough that anyone can pick it up, but there's enough variety in the level design to keep things from feeling completely flat across its runtime. What works is the game's self-aware humor and willingness to be weird without apology. What doesn't is that the technical polish and variety can feel sparse even by indie standards. This isn't a game you hunt down for depth or lasting challenge, but if you're in the mood for something that prioritizes fun over ambition, and you've got a couple hours to kill, Crispy Chicken delivers exactly what its silly title promises.
