The store page sells this as something you can buy on its own, and that part is true: US Forces runs standalone, no base Company of Heroes 2 required. What the framing quietly skates past is that there is no campaign in the box. This is the multiplayer and AI-skirmish side of CoH2 with one army handed to you, and if you came for missions, you are in the wrong aisle. Taken for what it actually is, the faction is good. The officer tech path locks you into Lieutenant or Captain before Major, so your build order becomes a real commitment instead of a checklist you tick off. Riflemen stay relevant deep into a match through weapon upgrades, and the cover-and-flanking core still punishes anyone who treats a tank as unkillable. These are CoH2's best-aged systems, sold as a slice rather than a meal.
