Rome To Victory wants you to spend ten minutes on a single turn studying a ridgeline, tracing line of sight from every window in an Italian farmhouse, and deciding whether your infantry crosses that open field in one rush or three bounds. Get impatient and a machine gun you never spotted will delete a squad in seconds. The reward for that patience is the most honest small-unit combat model on PC: spotting is genuinely imperfect, suppression matters more than raw firepower, and command delays punish plans that assume perfect coordination. As an expansion module it assumes you already own and understand Fortress Italy, and the interface is the usual Battlefront situation: functional, dated, and hostile to newcomers who expect a tutorial to hold their hand.
