About Color Splash: Cats
Twenty minutes in, I caught myself squinting at a tabby's ear, trying to work out whether that sliver of shading was zone 14 or zone 4, and realized I hadn't thought about anything else the whole time. That is the entire pitch here. You pick a numbered cat painting from a gallery, tap swatches onto numbered regions, and watch a flat outline turn into something with fur and depth. No timers, no fail states, no currency nagging you between pictures. Singleplayer only, with cloud saves and a light achievement list that mostly rewards finishing things. What it does well is the pacing of a completed image, that small payoff when the last region fills in. What it doesn't do is surprise you. There's no zoom-assist or auto-fill for stray single pixels, so late-stage pictures turn into a hunt for the one region you missed, and the art itself is pleasant rather than memorable. Treat it as a wind-down app with a Steam icon and it delivers. Expect a puzzle game with actual puzzles and you'll be done in an hour.
