The first hour of this one is a wall, and it is worth naming up front: you click a button, you get a chest, the chest gives you almost nothing, and the upgrade tree looks like it was priced by someone who hates you. That friction is deliberate but poorly signposted, because LoopCap gives you no tutorial to speak of. Push past roughly the first 20 minutes and the numbers start compounding properly, which is the moment any incremental either earns your evening or loses it. This one earns it. The skill upgrades feed the chest tiers, the chest tiers feed the skill upgrades, and the curve is tuned tightly enough that you always have a next purchase in sight. Where it disappoints is scope. It is singleplayer, achievement-driven, and there is no prestige-adjacent depth to chase once the tree flattens out, so the late game is thinner than the early ramp promises. No mod support, no offline progression to speak of. Judge it as a compact 5-to-10-hour idler with a good number curve rather than a genre pillar, and it holds up fine. Steam sentiment tracks with that: small sample, very high approval, exactly the shape you expect from a focused little loop that does one thing cleanly.
