I went in expecting standard indie horror. What I found was something stranger: Claire is a deliberately weird adventure game that leans hard into unsettling mood and narrative quirk rather than jump scares. You're exploring environments with a sort of point-and-click sensibility grafted onto action controls, piecing together a story that's deliberately cryptic. The visuals are rough (it's from 2014 on a shoestring), but there's a genuine creepiness to the art direction that low-fi indie games sometimes nail by accident. The action elements feel clunky, and the pacing can drag if you're not into slow-burn storytelling. It's not a game designed to be scary in the conventional sense, more unsettling and surreal. If you value atmosphere and don't mind rough edges, there's something here worth experiencing. If you want polished mechanics or traditional scares, skip it.
