Cities: Skylines - Deep Focus Radio
Sixteen tracks of ambient and lo-fi that cost less than a coffee and do exactly one job: stop your city-planning headspace from being ruined by silence or a bad Spotify shuffle.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth grabbing in a bundle for long Cities: Skylines sessions, but the one-hour loop makes it hard to justify as a solo full-price purchase.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About Cities: Skylines - Deep Focus Radio
I'll be upfront with you: I review grand-strategy and city-builders for a living, and my standard soundtrack while zoning residential grids or micromanaging traffic flow is a carefully curated lo-fi playlist. So when Colossal Order packaged up sixteen ambient and lo-fi tracks into a dedicated Cities: Skylines radio station, my first instinct was skepticism. My second instinct, after spending a few long planning sessions with it running, was something closer to genuine appreciation. Deep Focus Radio is a pure music DLC, nothing more. It adds a single in-game radio station hosted by a fictional DJ called "Deep Thought", and the playlist covers ambient and lo-fi study territory almost exclusively. No vocals to break your concentration mid-zoning decision, no jarring tempo changes when you switch from laying down metro lines to sorting out a sewage crisis. The sixteen tracks run to just over an hour in total, which is a reasonable loop length for a casual session but will feel noticeably repetitive for anyone doing four-hour city-sculpting marathons. That is the honest ceiling on this DLC: it is a one-hour loop, and you will hear it again. The artists involved, including Envision, Stefano Lazzarini, Oakwood Stories, and Cassette Flashbacks, keep the production quality consistently high. Tracks like "2054" and "Aurora" sit exactly in the sonic register that the base game's tone calls for: unhurried, textural, never demanding attention. User feedback from players who've spent time with it tends to split neatly into two camps. People who want lyrics or more energetic music find it thin. People who want something that genuinely recedes into the background while they think through interchange geometry find it nearly perfect. I fall firmly in the second camp. Where this DLC struggles to justify itself as a standalone purchase is the value-per-track calculation. Cities: Skylines already ships with ambient radio options, and the Steam Workshop ecosystem means free custom music mods are a realistic alternative for anyone comfortable installing them. Deep Focus Radio's argument is convenience and curation: it installs in one click, it integrates cleanly with the in-game radio system, and the audio quality is consistent throughout. If you've already muted the base game's radio and are running your own playlist outside the game, this DLC changes nothing for you. If you want something that feels native to the Cities: Skylines experience and respects the focus a long city-building session actually demands, it delivers that without friction. Bottom line for the strategy-and-sim crowd: this is the right kind of DLC to pick up in a bundle or during a sale if you spend serious time in Cities: Skylines. As an impulse standalone add-on at full price, the one-hour loop length is a legitimate drawback worth factoring in before you commit.
