About CID the Dummy
CID the Dummy is a physics-driven action platformer from the early 2010s where you play as a floppy crash-test dummy navigating obstacle courses and environmental hazards. The core appeal is the ragdoll-based movement system: instead of precision platforming, you're managing momentum and physics interactions to reach each level's exit. It's a gimmick that can be fun in short bursts if you enjoy slapstick experimentation and don't mind loose controls. The game doesn't reinvent the wheel and feels more like a novelty than a fully realized platformer. Level design is straightforward, the camera can be finicky, and there's not much that separates CID from dozens of other indie physics toys from that era. If you're hunting for obscure early 2010s action-platformers or specifically want a dummy-based protagonist, it's worth a look on a budget. Otherwise, newer physics platformers do similar ideas with more polish.
