CICADAMATA"

It asks for muscle memory before it gives you anything. CICADAMATA drops you into movement that feels slippery and unearned for the first half hour, all hops and skips and midair corrections you do not yet know how to chain, and it refuses to explain itself. Then something shifts. The white rabbit stops being a taunt and becomes a metronome, joyeuse stops being a weapon you swing and becomes a thing you steer with, and the whole game reveals itself as a rhythm exercise wearing action-game clothes. flowergarden clearly built this alone and built it around one idea, executed with the kind of patience solo devs get to have. What it does not do is hold you. There is no difficulty valve, no assist, and the sparse presentation means if the mood does not land on you, nothing else will. It also ends when it should, which I count as craft rather than shortfall. Controller support is here and I would insist on it. If you bounced off precision platformers because they felt like homework, this will not convert you. If you have ever replayed a single room forty times because the movement felt good, you already know.
