Catmouth Island
A three-episode point-and-click that cannot be failed or finished, only wandered through. Cozy if you want atmosphere, maddening if you want an ending.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth an evening if you want atmosphere and dialogue with zero friction, not if you need an actual ending.
Compare Prices(4 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Catmouth Island
Nothing in Catmouth Island can go wrong, and that single design choice reshapes everything else. There are no death states, no wrong answers, no puzzle that locks you out. So the pointing and clicking stops being problem-solving and becomes something closer to poking around a friend's apartment while they make tea. You click a beach umbrella, a chatty local, a weird bit of scenery, and the game rewards you with dialogue rather than progress. The 3D environments are handmade in a way that feels distinctly one-person: slightly wobbly, warm, colored like a postcard someone left in the sun. The problem is that it ends the way an episode ends, not the way a story does. That is why the Steam reviews sit split down the middle, and honestly both camps are right. Come for a quiet ninety minutes of tropical drifting and you will have a lovely time. Come for adventure-game friction or closure and you will feel the floor drop out. I want to defend the pacing, and mostly I do, but a slow opening earns its keep by paying off later, and this one just stops.
