About Castle Rencounter
Castle Rencounter is a 2018 indie adventure built around classic adventure-game logic: click around a castle, collect items, solve environmental puzzles, talk to NPCs. The appeal is straightforward if you grew up on early LucasArts or Sierra games. The castle itself has some atmospheric charm, and there's a genuine puzzle or two buried in the clutter. If you're hungry for old-school point-and-click mechanics and don't mind rough edges, there's a few hours of exploration here. The catch is execution. The interface feels clunky, pacing drags between puzzle beats, and the dialogue doesn't give you much reason to care about the castle or its inhabitants. There's no Steam reviews or Metacritic score for a reason: this is a niche indie title that missed the mark with its intended audience. Worth a shot only if you've exhausted better adventure games and have patience for something scrappy.
