Case #8
A 2016 indie adventure that's light on details and heavy on mystery, you're hunting a case file with almost no context about what you're hunting for.
GamerScout Verdict
A mystery box of a game best suited for adventurous players willing to investigate with zero safety net.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Case #8
Case #8 landed in 2016 as a bare-bones indie adventure with virtually no marketing footprint, which means I'm going in as blind as the game wants you to be. It's tagged as adventure with indie sensibilities, but the lack of Steam reviews or any real description online makes this one of those weird corner-case titles that either scratches a very specific itch or vanishes into obscurity. The title itself is the only hook: you're investigating case number eight, and the minimalist approach suggests the mystery is the whole point. Without footage or community consensus to reference, I can't tell you if Case #8 delivers on premise or squanders it. It's the kind of game you pick up on a hunch, knowing nothing will spoil whatever reveal it's building toward. That's either thrilling or frustrating depending on your tolerance for flying blind. If you're the type who loves discovering games nobody talks about, this is your gamble. If you need confidence that a game's worth your time before you buy, look elsewhere.
