About Car Dealership Simulator 2
My spreadsheet instincts lit up the moment I mapped out Car Dealership Simulator 2's core loop: source cheap vehicles from the open city market, inspect their condition, factor in repair costs, set a profitable asking price, take decent listing photos, and wait for buyers to come through the door. On paper that is a legitimate business-sim decision tree. In practice, the game is very much a work in progress, and how much that matters to you will define whether you enjoy it right now. The foundation the two-person Quadfix Games team has built is more ambitious than the price tag implies. You physically drive around an open-world city to find deals at second-hand markets and competing dealerships, rather than clicking through menus. Vehicles can be repaired, cosmetically restored, and washed before hitting the showroom floor. A photo system lets you position and shoot your inventory from flattering angles to improve listings. As capital grows you unlock additional dealership locations, hire employees, and purchase indoor parking garages - a recently added feature that keeps stock cleaner between sales. The progression from a single scrappy lot to a multi-site operation gives the mid-game a genuine sense of momentum. Where it gets complicated is in the depth of that decision-making layer. The current Early Access build sits at roughly 52 percent positive on Steam across a few hundred reviews - a "Mixed" rating that reflects honest growing pains rather than a broken game. Performance is inconsistent, occasional bugs surface, and a save-wiping issue tied to regional date format mismatches rattled early adopters before a patch addressed it. The vehicle roster is still limited, multiple customers cannot arrive simultaneously yet (though the developers confirm that system is in active development), and the market economy does not yet push back hard enough to make pricing decisions truly tense. Players who run up the reputation ladder quickly tend to find the late game thin. For a strategy-minded buyer, the Early Access caveat here is real. This is not the kind of title where you drop in and find a polished 40-hour campaign waiting. What you get is a responsive two-developer team posting updates on Discord, actively triaging bugs, adding vehicles and systems based on community requests, and keeping the roadmap transparent. SUVs, pickups, and panel vans are confirmed for future updates alongside multi-language support. If you have patience for that collaborative development model and enjoy low-stakes business-sim loops - think Jalopy crossed with a lite management game - the current build has enough to grab 15 to 20 hours before content walls start showing. Newcomers should not expect a tutorial that hand-holds deeply, but the loop is intuitive enough that jumping in cold is manageable. The honest ceiling right now is that Car Dealership Simulator 2 wants to be a proper tycoon experience but has not yet built the economic complexity to justify that ambition. Come back in six months and the picture may look substantially different. Right now it is an enjoyable, rough-edged Early Access bet on a small team that is clearly listening. Diego, Scout Team
