A functional but forgettable VR shooter for genre completionists with a low-cost headset library to fill.

About Bullet VR
I approached Bullet VR expecting a modest indie VR shooter, and that's mostly what I got. The 2020 war-hero framing is window dressing for what amounts to a wave-based combat experience in VR. It's the kind of game that feels functional rather than inspired, with mechanics that work but lack the intentional friction or payoff that makes even small projects feel worthwhile. The core loop is straightforward: point, shoot, survive. For what it is, there's nothing broken here, but there's also nothing that lingers. This is a sub-5-dollar curiosity for players who own a VR headset and want to spend an afternoon shooting things in a vacuum. If you're hunting for narrative depth, novel mechanics, or even just a strong sense of craft in miniature, Bullet VR doesn't quite reach that bar. It exists, it functions, and then it fades.
