A bridge-building puzzle sim with creative ambition but rough execution. Structural integrity of the fun is... questionable.

Bridge! 3 is a physics-based construction puzzle game from SilentFuture, published by Aerosoft, in which you design bridges capable of bearing specified loads without collapsing. The core loop is straightforward: place beams, cables, and supports across a gap, then run a stress test to see whether your structure holds or spectacularly fails. That feedback loop is genuinely satisfying when it works, and the structural simulation does a passable job of visualizing tension and compression across members. If you have ever wanted a low-stakes engineering sandbox, the premise is sound. The depth of decision-making, however, is thin compared to genre benchmarks. There are limited material types and no meaningful progression system that unlocks new building strategies over time. Veterans of Poly Bridge or its sequel will immediately notice the absence of hydraulics, split-grid puzzles, or the kind of lateral-thinking scenarios that make those games replayable for dozens of hours. Bridge! 3 feels closer to a casual mobile experience ported to PC than a dedicated sim, which is fine if that is your target, but the Steam page does not manage expectations well on this front. The tutorial is functional but sparse. It covers the basics of placing joints and beams without explaining why certain truss configurations outperform others under dynamic load. For a newcomer to the subgenre, that gap is frustrating. For anyone who has played a bridge builder before, the tutorial is simply skippable. There is no in-game explanation of the stress color-coding system beyond a brief tooltip, so new players may spend several levels confused about why their bridge fails despite looking structurally reasonable. A short primer on basic compression versus tension forces would have gone a long way. The level count is modest and the user-generated content ecosystem is effectively nonexistent, which is a serious long-term problem. With only 19 Steam reviews at 37% positive, the community is too small to sustain a workshop. Mod support appears absent. Once you complete the included levels, there is little reason to return. Compare that to a game with an active workshop and you are looking at a fraction of the replayability for a similar price bracket. The AI is not a factor here since this is a solo puzzle format, but the puzzle design itself does not consistently push you toward creative solutions. Bridge! 3 is not a broken game. It runs, the physics respond predictably, and there is a brief window of enjoyment in the early levels where the challenge ramps appropriately. The problem is that window closes fast and there is not much waiting on the other side of it. If you are an absolute beginner to bridge builders and want the gentlest possible introduction, this technically qualifies. Everyone else should look at the competition first, and come back here only if the price reflects the limited scope. Diego, Scout Team
