Bloodbath

I spent a couple of hours guiding an android through the abandoned Bailey mansion, and what struck me was how deliberately paced this is. Bloodbath moves slow, feeds you story fragments through environmental clues and investigation sequences, and trusts you to sit with the unease. The puzzles are straightforward enough that they don't break narrative momentum, and the paranormal mystery unfolds with genuine creep factor rather than jump scares. The catch: it's short and from 2014, so the presentation feels modest by modern standards. If you're hunting for a thoughtful, story-driven exploration game that knows exactly how long it should be, this scratches that itch. The dark family history payoff rewards the patient.
