About Blazing Star
Blazing Star is a vertical scrolling shmup from SNK's arcade heyday, and it's exactly what you'd expect: waves of enemies, power-ups, screen-filling bosses, and a soundtrack that pounds. The draw here is straightforward: you and a friend (local co-op) tear through five stages of escalating bullet hell. Sprites are bright, patterns are readable, and the action never lets up. The catch? This is arcade-hard and unforgiving. No difficulty sliders, minimal checkpoints, and the kind of design that expects you to memorize attack patterns. If you grew up on this type of thing, or spent quarters at an arcade, you'll find something satisfying in the pure geometry of dodging and returning fire. Everyone else will probably bounce off within twenty minutes. Worth a look if vertical shmups are your thing and you want a piece of SNK's catalog without paying collector prices.
