Blasphemous 2 - Mea Culpa Edition
Pick your weapon in the first ten minutes and you've basically picked your route through the whole castle. Gorgeous, grim, and far kinder than the original.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for Metroidvania players who want their weapon choice to actually matter, and who don't need the punishment of the original.
Compare Prices(7 stores)
Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Blasphemous 2 - Mea Culpa Edition
The weapon you choose at the start reshapes the next twenty hours, and that's the smartest thing about it. Veredicto's censer-flail is slow, heavy, and cracks open paths the others can't touch. Ruego Al Alba is a rapier that rewards clean spacing. Sarmiento & Centella make you fast and fragile. Each has its own upgrade tree and its own traversal trick, so the map opens differently depending on what you leaned into. That's build identity doing real Metroidvania work, not just key items with combat bolted on. Everything around it is grim pixel-art Catholic guilt at a very high polish level, with tighter platforming and more readable bosses than the first game. It's also noticeably gentler: fewer cheap instant deaths, friendlier checkpoints. Veterans may miss the meanness. The rosary beads and altarpiece fiddling is easy to ignore entirely, which makes that whole layer feel decorative rather than essential.
