Beholder 1 & 2 Double Pack
Two surveillance-sim games where you play a building superintendent spying on tenants and reporting dissidents to a totalitarian state.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for players seeking uncomfortable moral dilemmas over flashy gameplay, a two-game argument wrapped in a spy-thriller coat.

About Beholder 1 & 2 Double Pack
I went in expecting a dystopian puzzle game and found a surprisingly bleak moral pressure cooker instead. Both games in this pack task you with eavesdropping on apartment residents, gathering evidence, and deciding who to report to the authorities. It's part sim (managing building maintenance, rent collection), part point-and-click adventure (examining clues, building a profile on each tenant), and entirely uncomfortable in the best way. The first game is tighter mechanically; the sequel expands the premise but loses some of the original's claustrophobic dread. Neither is mechanically deep, but both excel at making you complicit. If you want a game that questions your willingness to abuse surveillance for survival, this lands harder than most narrative experiments. Not for players seeking traditional gameplay loops, but worth it if you're curious about games as moral argument.
