I went in expecting another colorful tower-defense romp and found something more austere. BeeFense BeeMastered is a strategy game where you place defensive units to stop waves of attackers, but the interface and visual style are deliberately plain. That's not laziness, it's clarity. Every mechanic exists to make you think about positioning, unit matchups, and resource management without distraction. The core loop works: pick your towers, manage upgrades, adapt to enemy waves. It's not flashy, and if you need particle effects and character charm to stay engaged, this isn't it. But if you're the type who plays tower-defense to optimize rather than zone out, the bare-bones design gets out of your way. Don't expect complexity on the level of genre heavyweights, but for an indie title it delivers solid tactical satisfaction.
