BattleCubes: Arena
A one-room twin-stick cube brawl with real arena-shooter bones and almost nothing built on top of them. Fun for an evening, thin by the second.
GamerScout Verdict
A cheap, quick minimalist arena shooter with one good idea and not much around it.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About BattleCubes: Arena
Think Geometry Wars stripped down to a single square room, then swap the endless swarm pressure for something closer to a deathmatch bot arena. That swap is the whole story here. You are a cube, everything else is a cube, and you clear the floor by shooting enemies or ramming them, which is the one idea Karlo Pavlovic's solo project commits to properly. Ramming is genuinely satisfying because it forces you to close distance instead of kiting forever, and the moment-to-moment movement has enough weight that near-misses feel earned rather than random. What is missing is everything around that loop. It is single-player only, there is no bot personality or mode variety to speak of, and the arena stops surprising you well before the achievement list runs out. Presentation is functional at best, which is fair for a one-person release but does mean nothing pulls you back after the novelty fades. Worth an hour or two if minimalist arena shooters are your comfort food and you want something you can grasp in ten seconds. Anyone hoping for progression, builds, or multiplayer should look elsewhere.
