About Bard to the Future
I've got a soft spot for indie platformers that swing for the fences with their concepts, and Bard to the Future commits fully to its absurdist setup: a lute-wielding adventurer stumbles into a time machine, recruits two LARPers, and chases down a time-hopping robot buccaneer across eras. It's a side-scroller with a clear creative voice and a setting you won't find in AAA games. The catch is that this 2015 release is rough around the edges, and the novelty carries it only so far. Expect a short experience built more around charm and weirdness than mechanical depth. If you're hunting for tight platforming or a meaty campaign, look elsewhere. But if you want something genuinely offbeat and don't mind loose execution in service of the bit, this scratches that itch.
