Into the Breach is the go-to pitch for tiny tactics you can finish on a train ride, but Bad North swaps grid turns for real-time-with-pause panic: you drag squads across a doomed little island, watch longboats pick a landing spot, and pray your pikes turn around in time. Commanders level up, units specialize, and dead ones stay dead, which is the whole tension. Jotunn Edition is the version worth owning, since it folded in extra units, items and a stiffer difficulty option that fixed the original's soft late game. The Deluxe package here is the same Jotunn build plus digital trimmings, not new islands, commanders or mechanics. If the score is something you would actually put on while working, fine. Everyone else should take the standard edition and spend nothing extra, because the campaign you get is identical either way.
