Franchise mode is the entire point. You draft, trade, set playbooks, manage cap space, and watch AI-controlled seasons unfold with genuine strategic weight. The play-calling itself is straightforward, but the off-season layers are where the depth lives. Local multiplayer and PvP matches exist, but this isn't a competitive esports platform. The trade-off is obvious: this is indie-scale production. Graphics are functional, not flashy. The tutorial respects your time, and if you're comfortable reading tooltips, the onboarding is solid. PC, Mac, and Linux support matters for sim enthusiasts who want portability. If you're burned out on annual sports franchises and want to manage a team for 15 seasons without fighting microtransaction pressure, this scratches that itch. Just don't expect presentation polish.
