About Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - Sarentu Hunter Equipment Pack (DLC) (PS5) PSN
Let's be straight about what this is: the Sarentu Hunter Equipment Pack is a cosmetic DLC drop for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, giving your Na'vi character a themed set of hunter-flavoured gear to wear while you sprint across Pandora's biomes. There are no new weapons, no new abilities, no story content, and no mechanical advantage. You are buying a look. That context matters a lot before you decide whether it belongs in your cart. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora itself is a first-person open-world action-adventure built by Massive Entertainment. You play as a Na'vi reclaiming your homeland from RDA forces, using bows, spears, and Pandora's fauna to push back against a very familiar Ubisoft-style map full of outposts, collectibles, and viewpoints. The base game supports online co-op for two players, which is genuinely the best way to play it - having a friend alongside you for the larger creature encounters and traversal sections makes the whole thing feel more alive. Split-screen is not available, so your couch co-op dreams are off the table. This pack adds nothing to that co-op experience beyond aesthetics. The equipment pack itself - judged purely as cosmetic content - is fine. The Sarentu Hunter aesthetic fits the world's visual language, leaning into braided textures and earthy tones that look decent in Pandora's bioluminescent environments, especially if you have HDR running on a capable display. It does not dramatically stand out from gear you earn in the base game through normal play, which is probably the most honest criticism you can level at it. If you have already put serious hours into the base game and want your character to look a specific way, this scratches that itch. If you are still deciding whether to buy into the base game at all, the mixed Steam reviews (sitting around 77 percent positive from a sizeable pool) suggest a game that is visually impressive but mechanically repetitive for some players. From a hardware standpoint, the base game has partial controller support noted, and it plays best on a gamepad. There is no racing or vehicle simulation angle here, so wheels and pedals are irrelevant. For accessibility, captions are available in the base game. The DLC inherits whatever settings you have already configured. Bottom line: this is for players who are already sold on Frontiers of Pandora and want a specific cosmetic look. It adds no replay value, no mechanical depth, and nothing that changes whether the base game is worth your time. Riley, Scout Team
