About Assassin's Creed II (Deluxe Edition)
Renaissance Italy is the reason to buy this, and it still holds up. Ezio's Florence and Venice are dense, climbable and readable in a way that makes the parkour feel like tracing a map with your hands, and the assassination setups give you enough room to improvise. Combat is the soft spot: once counter-kills click, most fights stop being fights. The Deluxe Edition takes that base game and folds in the extra story sequences that were carved out of the original release, along with assorted weapon and cosmetic extras. Those extras are thin. The bonus memories run short and mostly patch a narrative gap you would otherwise skim past, while the bundled gear is convenience rather than challenge. If Ezio is new to you and Deluxe is what your store stocks, take it. If you already own the standard version, there is nothing here worth paying twice for. Read the listing's component breakdown first, because these bundles vary by seller and "Deluxe" sometimes just means a soundtrack and wallpapers.
