A cosmetic naval pack for AC Odyssey dressing up your trireme with Capricorn-themed skins. Purely decorative, zero gameplay impact.

Let's be clear about what this is: the Capricornus Naval Pack is a cosmetic DLC drop for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, one of Ubisoft Quebec's biggest and most mechanically ambitious entries in the series. It does not add quests, abilities, weapons, or story beats. What you get is a themed visual skin set for your ship, the Adrestia, styled around the Capricornus constellation. If you were hoping for new sea encounters, legendary ship captains to hunt down, or expanded naval combat mechanics, this is not that. For the uninitiated, Assassin's Creed Odyssey itself is a sprawling action-RPG set across a gorgeously realized Ancient Greece, letting you play as either Kassandra or Alexios as they claw their way from mercenary nobody to mythic legend. The base game's naval system is a genuine highlight. Ship-to-ship combat, recruiting lieutenants, and managing your crew feel like a condensed but satisfying seafaring layer on top of the already dense land-based RPG loop. The Adrestia becomes something of a character in its own right over the course of the story, which is exactly why cosmetic packs like this one exist and why some players genuinely care about how she looks. That said, this pack is a narrow purchase. If you are someone who has already sunk forty-plus hours into the game, completed the main story, and found yourself wishing your ship looked more like a celestial goat-fish hybrid, then sure, this scratches that itch. The Capricornus theming is visually consistent with the game's mythological aesthetic, and Ubisoft's art team does solid work making these skins feel grounded rather than garish. But there is no functional gameplay differentiation between this and the default hull. Your ramming speed, crew songs, and lieutenant bonuses are completely unaffected. The broader Odyssey package itself earns the Very Positive Steam rating it carries. The RPG mechanics, particularly the branching dialogue choices, mercenary tier progression, and ability tree across the Hunter, Warrior, and Assassin skill lines, hold up well past the forty-hour mark that separates the committed players from the tourists. The writing has its peaks (the family storyline hits harder than it has any right to) and its filler valleys (yes, there are fetch quests, and yes, they pad the runtime). But this DLC pack reviews none of that. It is a ship skin. Buy this only if you care deeply about Adrestia's appearance and want a specific aesthetic that the base game's cosmetic options do not satisfy. Everyone else should spend their attention on the Fate of Atlantis or Legacy of the First Blade expansions, which actually add content worth talking about. Monika, Scout Team
