Archon Soul
A dice-builder that lives or dies on your rune math, with enough run variance to keep the palace climb honest. Bring patience for the loss streaks.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it if you enjoy engineering a dice engine from parts and accepting the runs where the math betrays you.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Archon Soul
Three floors into a run I had a body that rerolled on every blank face, a rune that converted rerolls into damage, and a spell that scaled off total pips. On paper that is a win condition. In practice the Archon's palace threw an enemy that punished rerolls directly, and I watched a 40-minute build fold in four turns. That is the honest shape of Archon Soul: you are not drafting cards, you are physically assembling dice from faces, runes, and bodies, and the engine you build is specific enough that a single bad matchup exposes exactly which assumption you leaned on too hard. What it does well is decision density per floor. Swappable faces mean every drop is a real choice about what to cut, and the spell draft layers a second economy on top. What it does less well is onboarding: the tutorial explains the parts, not the interactions, so your first several runs are tuition. Solo only, no meta-progression sprawl to soften the losses. If you like reading a build until you can predict its ceiling before floor five, this rewards that. If you want a roguelike that carries you, look elsewhere.
