About Anomalous
I went in expecting nothing and got exactly what Anomalous delivers: a no-frills action game that respects your time and doesn't overthink itself. The combat feels responsive, enemy patterns are readable, and difficulty ramps fairly. There's no bloat here, no elaborate story sequences, no open-world padding, just core gameplay that works. The trade-off is that it's lean to the point of spartan. Visuals are basic, variety is thin, and once you've seen the main loop you've seen most of what's on offer. It's the kind of game you play for an hour or two and either click with or move on from. If you want no-nonsense action without pretension, this scratches that itch. If you need production polish or feature depth, look elsewhere.
