Ankh 2: Heart of Osiris
A 2009 point-and-click adventure sequel that demands patience with adventure-game logic but rewards you with quirky Egyptian mythology humor and surprisingly intricate puzzles.
GamerScout Verdict
For adventure-game veterans who don't mind pixel-hunting and obscure logic; everyone else should sample a Let's Play first.

About Ankh 2: Heart of Osiris
I went in expecting a straightforward adventure romp, but Ankh 2 is the kind of game that makes you question your sanity when a puzzle requires combining three items you found in completely different chapters. You're back as Assil, a human cursed to help the Egyptian god Osiris find his literal heart (and metaphorical dignity) by solving environmental puzzles, talking to NPCs, and collecting random objects that may or may not make sense until much later. The writing leans hard into slapstick humor and absurdist logic, which works when it lands but stumbles when you're stuck for 20 minutes because the solution was "use rock on water three times in this one location." This is peak 2000s adventure-game design: hand-drawn art that holds up fine, voice acting that ranges from charming to grating, and a willingness to waste your time with obtuse solutions if you're not paying attention to every NPC comment. If you love the old LucasArts adventure games or Lucas Arts-style humor, the friction might feel nostalgic rather than frustrating. Everyone else should probably skip it.
