Compare AlienAfterlife prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Jeremy Couillard. Published by Akupara Games. Released on 2/11/2019. Available on PC. Genres: Action, Adventure, Casual.

A 90-minute neon fever dream that swaps combat and puzzles for jokes, vibes, and voice-over. Bring patience for slow walking, not reflexes.

If you liked the quiet, poke-around-and-listen rhythm of Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, AlienAfterlife is that shape with the solemnity stripped out and replaced with lo-fi sci-fi comedy. Jeremy Couillard built a first-person afterlife that looks like someone melted a 90s CD-ROM and a black-light poster together, and you wander through it while strange characters explain the bureaucracy of being dead. There is no combat, no fail state, no inventory. You walk, you look, you listen, and occasionally the world does something so unhinged you stop to check you saw it right. Controller support is full, which matters more than usual in a game where your only verbs are movement and curiosity. What it does exceptionally well is texture. The writing is genuinely funny in a deadpan, gallery-installation way, and the art direction commits so hard that even the ugly parts feel deliberate. What it doesn't do is give you much to hold onto. It is over in a sitting, the pacing sags whenever a monologue runs long, and if surreal art games strike you as pretentious rather than playful, nothing here will change your mind. Go in wanting a strange short story you can walk through, not a game with systems. Alex, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Worth an evening if you want a funny, deeply weird art-walk; skip it if you need mechanics to chew on.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
