Airport Simulator 2014
A niche airport management sim that lets you handle gates, ground crews, and passenger flow, but with UI and pacing that feel stuck in the early 2010s.
GamerScout Verdict
For hardcore management sim fans willing to overlook dated presentation to scratch an unusual itch.

About Airport Simulator 2014
I went in expecting something like SimCity but with runways. Airport Simulator 2014 delivers the core concept: you micromanage departures, arrivals, staffing, and logistics across your terminal. The mechanics are there, and if you're the type who gets zen from watching systems hum, there's something satisfying about watching planes land on schedule and gates empty smoothly. The problem is the execution feels clunky. The UI is dense and unintuitive, tutorials are sparse, and the pacing drags until your airport is big enough to be interesting. It's the kind of sim that requires patience and a spreadsheet mindset. This is strictly for hardcore sim fans willing to tolerate rough presentation for the specific pleasure of airport logistics. If you want something more polished, Offworld Trading Company or even Two Point Hospital will give you better management game bones. But if you've exhausted the obvious sims and want something genuinely offbeat, Airport Simulator 2014 exists and it works.
