The store page frames Invasions as a fresh threat layered onto the campaign, and that framing is fair as far as it goes, with one detail the marketing soft-pedals: this is an add-on for Age of Wonders: Planetfall and does nothing at all without the base game installed. The other thing worth flagging is that the data in front of me does not enumerate every unit, mission and cosmetic in the pack, so treat the store listing as the authoritative item manifest instead of any summary, mine included. Who it is for is narrow and easy to describe. Planetfall regulars who have worn out the base faction roster and want new pressure on the strategic layer, plus completionists filling out the DLC shelf. If you have not bought Planetfall yet, or you bounced off its turn-based tactical combat the first time, this is not an entry point and skipping it costs you nothing.
