Aeon Command
A stripped-down RTS where you manage one mothership against an opponent's in a 24-mission campaign. If you liked the resource-juggling core of StarCraft but want it condensed into 20-minute skirmishes, this is your lane.
GamerScout Verdict
Lean, deliberate strategy game for players who value decision-making over production values.

About Aeon Command
I spent my first hour expecting Aeon Command to bore me, and it nearly did. Then I realized the entire game is a deliberately compressed RTS: one unit (your mothership), one tech tree, one map per mission. That constraint forces actual decision-making. Do you spend minerals on production speed or weapon upgrades? Do you rush the opponent or build economy? The three factions play meaningfully different, and the 24-mission campaign steadily raises the AI's aggression and tech ceiling. The catch: it's from 2014, built on a shoestring budget by a team that clearly knew what it wanted and shipped exactly that. No flashy animations, no voice acting, graphics are functional at best. You're buying the strategic skeleton, nothing else. But if you're the type who cracks open a spreadsheet during games, who enjoys build-order tinkering and exploit-finding, Aeon Command respects your time and your intelligence in a way modern bloat-strategy doesn't.
