About Adventures of Bertram Fiddle: Episode 1: A Dreadly Business
I went in expecting Monkey Island vibes and got something closer to a British sitcom trapped in adventure-game form. Bertram Fiddle is a lovably inept sleuth investigating a dreadly murder in 1890s London, and the whole appeal lives in the writing. You'll click around crime scenes gathering clues, talk to a parade of absurd characters, and solve puzzles that rarely demand much brain power. The pixel art is charming, the voice acting leans into the comedy, and if you're into dialogue-heavy adventures where the journey matters more than challenge, you'll find something here. That said, it's short, fairly linear, and the puzzles won't stick in your head after you're done. Best as a weekend rental when you want something whimsical that doesn't ask much of you.
