Hardcore tabletop tactics players will find deep mechanical satisfaction; everyone else should expect a rough, uncompromising experience.

About Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus
I went in expecting a Warhammer 40K strategy romp, but Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus is really a faithful digital port of a 1988 tabletop game, complete with all the granular rules that makes it mechanically dense. You pilot massive war machines in turn-based grid combat, managing heat, weapon arcs, and hull integrity. The UI doesn't do much to ease you in, and the 2018 graphics feel basic even by indie standards. If you're already a tabletop Titans player or a deep tactics fan willing to parse rulebooks in game form, there's something here. The combat has real tactical depth once you understand the systems. But casual Warhammer fans expecting something polished or welcoming will bounce hard. It's a niche product that knows its audience and doesn't compromise to reach anyone else.
