If padding your Steam achievement count is the mission, this micro-DLC gets the job done with zero pretense and roughly the same depth as a browser flash game circa 2009.

I want to be honest with you the way I would be with a friend: this is not a game I can advocate for in any meaningful creative sense. The Doggy Expansion Pack is a piece of downloadable content for Achievement Collector: Dog, a 2D fixed-screen shooter where you control a soldier firing bubbles at oncoming dogs. The expansion does not alter that premise in any interesting direction. It is the same thin concept wearing a different label, released as a standalone DLC in March 2020 to extend the breadth of a catalog that was already operating at the absolute floor of ambition. The base experience, such as it is, involves pointing a bubble projectile at sprite-based dogs scrolling across a simple background. There is no build variety, no escalating enemy pattern complexity worth noting, no soundtrack atmosphere to speak of, and no sense that the pacing was considered as a design element at all. QUIKIN Games built the Achievement Collector series as a vehicle for Steam achievement farming, and the Doggy expansion serves that exact purpose without embellishment. If you need those numbers on your profile, it delivers. That is the ceiling. What troubles me most, writing this as someone who genuinely champions small developers willing to put something odd and sincere into the world, is that there is no evidence of craft here that I can point to. The pixel work is rudimentary. The mechanical loop is identical to the base game. The DLC adds dogs and calls it an expansion. Players on Steam have not left reviews for this add-on, and the broader Achievement Collector series has received negative sentiment in the small number of reviews that do exist for its other entries. There is no mystery or intentional minimalism at play, no quiet design philosophy hiding beneath the surface. It is as shallow as it presents itself. If you are an achievement hunter running through a checklist and this title sits unchecked, you already know whether this is for you. If you are looking for a 2D shooter with any mechanical texture, any mood, any reason to return after your first thirty seconds, you will not find it here. The Doggy Expansion requires the base game to run, which means the cost of entry is already doubled before you start. Spend those minutes and that money on something that knows what it wants to be.
