About A Stroke of Fate: Operation Bunker
I've got to be upfront: A Stroke of Fate is a detective adventure from 2015 that feels like it was made on a shoestring budget, and it shows in the UI, voice work, and animation. But if you're the kind of player who hunts for obscure historical adventure games, there's something here, a WWII-era mystery that leans into dialogue and investigation over action. The appeal is niche: Cold War espionage flavor, point-and-click sensibilities, and a setting that doesn't get mined often in indie games. Don't expect polish or modern conveniences. The writing is functional rather than gripping, and the production values are aggressively low-end. But it's a complete, playable adventure with a historical setting and a plot that exists. It's the kind of game you play because you've exhausted the obvious detective games and want something genuinely different, not because it's going to blow your mind.
