4th & Inches
A stripped-down football sim that trades graphics for play-calling depth, but stumbles when it comes to AI consistency and tutorial handholding.

About 4th & Inches
I went in expecting Madden-lite, but 4th & Inches is something weirder: a tactical football game where you're calling plays from above, managing personnel, and trying to outsmart the opposing coach. The core loop works. You've got formation variety, blitz packages, and actual decision-making on third downs that matter. The problem is the execution layer. AI inconsistency means your defensive line will occasionally forget how to tackle, and the onboarding assumes you already know football terminology. If you're willing to spend 30 minutes with a pad and paper learning the play system, there's a competent game here. Multiplayer exists but the player base is microscopic. Solo play against AI is where you'll spend time, and that's where the cracks show most. It's not broken, but it's rough around the edges and unlikely to get patched. This is a niche purchase for the football sim obsessive who's exhausted the AAA options and doesn't mind a learning curve without safety rails. Diego, Scout Team
