I went in expecting another generic adult VN skin and found a surprisingly moody folklore mystery instead. Yokai: Lust Secret leans on atmosphere: eerie encounters, half-glimpsed spirits, and a central question of what's real that actually kept me reading past the obvious scenes. The yokai designs carry real folklore flavor rather than generic anime tropes, and the writing at least tries to earn its reveals instead of just cutting to the next scene. Don't expect the RPG tag to mean builds or combat systems though, this is closer to a choice-driven visual novel with light sim trappings than anything with mechanical depth past hour one. It's singleplayer only, achievement hunters get a checklist to chase, and there's no replay-deepening branching worth a second playthrough. Solid pick if you want folklore horror dressed up as an adult title, skip it if you came for actual RPG systems.
